Weekend
My boys and I had a great weekend. Friday we decided to "rough-it" and go camping in Wisconsin. I have fold memories of camping with my family at Governor Dodge State Park ( www.dnr.wi.gov/org/land/parks/specific/govdodge) near Dodgeville, Wisconsin (www.dodgeville.com) when I was younger. So, by mid morning Friday, my sons Damon and Nicky and I packed up the truck, loaded the caonoe and off we went.
On our way, we drove thru the UW Madison campus(www.wisc.edu)... Move in day for all of the college kids. Wow! Talk about traffic! We stopped anyway, and had a delicious ice cream from the Ag. Building, walked along the Lake Mendota shore and then proceeded on our way to the Park.
Once in Wisconsin the weather was beautiful Friday. Friday night however, it rained, and rained, and rained! The weather was a bit dreary on Saturday am. but we managed to cook a hearty bacon and eggs meal to start the day. Nothing like camping food. "Everything tastes better when you are camping", as Nicky says. The boys launched the canoe and tried their hand at fishing. They only caught a couple of minnows. We went on a hike and them made dinner... "Pudgie-Pies"! Ham and Cheese and turkey and cheese. (We were in Wisconsin you know!)
Saturday night it rained, and rained and rained. Sunday am. the sun was shining but it was cold. About 48 degrees. We could see our breath! Once we coaxed each other out of our sleeping bags, we made a warm breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes! Yum! We made our fire and then the boys went canoeing again. I however, stayed to clean up the site and take a much needed shower. I joined the boys in the canoe and they rowed me around the lake to show me the sites.
Once back on the road, we were planning our next outing. Total cost of trip... $65 plus gas. Talk about fun on the cheap!

Introductions
Hello! I'd Like to introduce myself. My name is Jeannine Zito and I have jumped into this blog world and plan to learn about it as I go, so bear with me as I learn the ropes. I am excited to share some of my favorite things. Such as my passion for the hardwood maple Baskets and home decore that the Longaberger Co. (www.longaberger.com/jeanninezito) designs as well as my affinity for making handmade jewelry (www.jmszito.etsy.com).
As a Longaberger Consultant, I love to decorate with my favorite baskets and pottery as well as decorate myself with my own jewelry. The fun and enjoyment of these things help to round out my very active life with my husband and three children. My daughter is a budding musician and quite good if I do say so myself, and my two boys are very active in school and swim comptetively. I am very proud of their dedication and their commitment to their passions.
I love to garden and work in my yard. It is therapy to be able to shut out the world and "tinker" in the dirt. This blog too, I think, will be good "therapy" for me as well as keep all my friends and family up to date.
I am looking forward to your feedback. WELCOME!
